ECB staff had performed five studies to aid the process of establishment of the cost-effective energy efficiency codes and standards for Building, those studies are:

Surveys:

  1. Climatic Zoning for Energy Efficient Buildings in the Palestinian Territories (the West Bank and Gaza)
    • Conducts climatic zoning for Palestinian Territories.
    • Discusses the methodology used to derive the climatic zones in the Palestinian Territories
    • Analyzes the output results of the climatic zoning classification

  2. Architectural Styles Survey in Palestinian Territories
    • Studies the traditional and contemporary architecture, its detail, and elements.
    • Locates all architectural elements, solutions, or techniques that serve climatic and energy saving.
    • Draws attention to the problem of energy loss, and the absence of energy efficiency in the building process

  3. Construction Techniques Survey in Palestinian Territories
    • reviews the traditional methods, and the construction materials available in the Palestinian Territories.
    • Introduces thermal specifications and energy efficient materials.
    In addition, this study aims to indicate and explore the economics issues and marketing matters.
